Gifted with Love

We have arrived in December and Christmas is just around the corner.
So here is the final challenge of 2024 for

Our challenge as always is
Just make a critter the focal point on your card.

This image is from Hetty Clair and  it's called Pony Loveheart.  I've coloured him with polychromo pencils. Although not intended as a Christmas image, I still think it goes ok. I've kept it as a quite simple design with just a red border and a mix of snow paste and stickles glitter glue for the snow effect. Then a sentiment of sending love at Christmas to go with my pony's heart shaped gift. It's been put on a kraft card base.

I chose the theme for this challenge which is
Blue Christmas

I really like this cute Christmas image of Santa and his Pony. I've coloured it using polychromo pencils.
To fit in with the blue theme the background is 2 blue patterned papers, they are 2 pieces out of my left over box which were a perfect size and colour for this card. I have used a piece of ribbon which makes this look like a big parcel and added a bow too. The sentiment has been die cut.

Whistle the Thistle

There is a new challenge over at the Crafty Catz.

We have not sponsor this time so it's just for fun.

But the theme is use ribbon.

To  create the frame round the edge of this card I have used a Sweet Poppy stencils called Twisted Vine Square. I fitted it into the top right corner and inked it, then the bottom left and inked, so it doesn't have too be used as just a square. I masked it all off each time to make sure the ink didn't go in places I didn't want it. I used distress ink to make the frame. Then the Thistles is a stamp also from Sweet Poppy, stamped in a no line ink pad by stamps by me. I've then water coloured the image using Sweet Poppy Watercolour brush pens set 2. Then there is the ribbon and bow, plus a sentiment.

Distressed Moth

We have reached the penultimate month of 2024.

So we have a new challenge at Critter Crazy.

The theme is always Anything Goes
but please make sure a critter is the main image on your item.

The background of this card has been made using distress inks then spattered with water to add a more distressed  look. I have then made a separate piece of card using the same colours.

On this second piece of card I have used a Sweet Poppy Stencil called Indian Moth with Black archival ink through. This stencil comes with a matching die, so when the ink is all dry carefully position the die and cut out your moth. This stencil and die are in the sale at a really good price. The cut our moth is then positioned on your base and add just a little glossy accents to highlight it's body. Finally just add your sentiment.

This really puzzled looking pony has been coloured using polychromo pencils. I went with a greyscale colouring this time. The background has been done with a stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils called Bubbles Backplate. The sentiment comes from the same digi set as the image. I've then die cut the question marks to go with the puzzling expression on the pony's face.

Moove over

Well! where did the summer go, here and gone before you know it.

But it's time for a new challenge at Critter Crazy.

Then theme is as always make a critter the centre piece of your make,

For my card this month I've used a Sweet Poppy Stencil called Isla Highland Cow. I've used a very light coloured ink through the stencil just to give me an image to follow. I've then removed the stencil and coloured over the ink with polychromo pencils. Then I've kept it quite simple with a background of a toning stiped paper and a stamped sentiment.

Tiny Toucan

Half way through the year, where has the first six months gone.

So today we launch this months new challenge at

The theme is always Anything Goes
but please make a critter the focal point of your creation.

This wonderfully detailed Toucan stamp is from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've quite simply stamped the image in brown archival ink, then added just a touch of pencil to add more shading. The image has been cropped slightly as I wanted it to fit on a smaller card. Then just layered up to keep the brown theme. Then just added a strip of pearls and a sentiment.

Horse of a different colour

New month, new challenge at the Critter Crazy Challenge.
Our theme is Anything Critter Goes
so please make sure that the animal is the main focus of your card.

This seahorse is a stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils called Fairy Seahorse. I've used stencils paste through the stencil and then sprinkled mica powders over. I've then heated it with a heat gun and the stencil paste bubbles when it is heated and gives a textured surface. There is silver alcohol  ink sponged onto the card behind the seahorse to just take the plainness off the background. It's layered onto some patterned paper. some of which has had a die cut with a wavy border. Then just a sentiment and some card candy to finish.
