Pretty Poinsettia

It's Christmas Eve, so to my second card to share.

This is a ponsettia stamp from Sweet Poppy Stencils.

I've stamped it 3 times down the edge of a DL card, then coloured them with the water colour brush pens. The sentiment is also a stencil. I'm quite new to watercolouring so I was really pleased with the outcome of this card.

Oh Christmas Tree

With only a couple of days left to the big day I thought I would share a last couple of Christmas cards.

This is the first.

Thi is made using a sweet Poppy Stencil called Fir tree.

I used the white paste through the stencil and let it dry over night. Then coloured over the paste with the Sweet Poppy water colour brush pens. I then added some snow paste on the ends of the tree. A little white ink spattered to look like snow. The star is hand drawn with the white pen and a die cut joy.

One if my favourite cards this Christmas I think.

Santa's on his way

This post is a little late as I've had a lovely seasonal cold.

So it's the last challenge of the year for the Crafty Catz.

As it's last minute Christmas this was a really quick make. The image was coloured with polychromo pencils. I've covered the base card with a patterned and added white glitter gems to the centres of the snowflakes. The sentiment has been die cut.

Cheerful Robin

It's the last challenge of the year at Critter Crazy.

The theme as always is use a critter and make sure it's the focus of your card.

For my card this month I've used this lovely Robin stamp from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've had a try at watercolouring, not really done any before, using water colour brush pens also from Sweet Poppy. The background is done using a holly stencil which co-ordinates with the image. Such an icon christmas image.

I've only used the poinsettia of the image. It was printed 3 times and coloured with polychromo pencils. There is a white patterned paper in the background. Then a circle has been die cut out of the red patterned paper. The flowers have then been cut out and layered up. A stamped sentiment to finish.

I have coloured this cute mouse with polychromo pencils. I've used a half fold on the front of the card and decorated it with a Sweet Poppy stencil called Circle texture. So on the in side of the card is a paper sheet with sentiments on to enjoy the sweet things on life. Then there is just a birthday sentiment and a lovely bow.

I've coloured this pony with polychromo pencils. Then added some fake snow paste for the snow and fur effect. I've kept to tradition Christmas colours by using red and green papers in the background.

Quite a seasonal image as there are lots of leaves falling from my trees now

Floral Blue

Well this was scheduled for yesterday but it didn't happen so I'll try again.

The challenge over at Crafty Cats is back after it's summer break.

The sponsor and prize is

Di's Digi Stamps.

My inspiration is made using  a stencil from Sweet Poppy stencils.

It's called Peony. 

I've made the background using a circle to make a clear centre, then Brushos round the outside of the card. The main flower has been inked using Distress inks. The stamped sentiment is also from Sweet Poppy. 

Round the edge of the card base I have used another stencil in matchng colour just to decorate the edge.
