Cute Queenie

I'm hosting this weeks new challenge at the Crafty Catz before we have a little break for the summer.

I've coloured the image using polychromo pencils. To fit our theme the background paper is an orange patterned paper. There are orangey brown paper flowers with brads in the centres. Then even the sentiment has been stamped in orange archival ink. The leaves have been die cut.

This cute pup has been coloured very softly with polychromo pencils. The main background paper, with paw and bones images on, has been printed and the other 2 squares are out of my scrap pile. I've then just added a stamped sentiment.

Tiny Toucan

Half way through the year, where has the first six months gone.

So today we launch this months new challenge at

Critter Crazy.

The theme is always Anything Goes

but please make a critter the focal point of your creation.

This wonderfully detailed Toucan stamp is from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've quite simply stamped the image in brown archival ink, then added just a touch of pencil to add more shading. The image has been cropped slightly as I wanted it to fit on a smaller card. Then just layered up to keep the brown theme. Then just added a strip of pearls and a sentiment.
