The image as been coloured with polychromo pencils. I've kept the background papers nice and spring like using mostly yellows. Finished off with some yellow gems and a stamped easter greeting. I have used punches to cut out the greeting and border pattern.

Bright Floral

There are some new stencils available on the Sweet Poppy website.

This is one of them called Tumbling Flowers

I think it's beautiful.

I have used Pearlescent paste through the stencil on black card. Then once it's dry I have coloured over the top with copic pens. It show up the lovely bright colours and the pearlescent paste still gives a slight sheen through the pen. The sentiment is also from Sweet Poppy in the Hugs and kisses stamp set.

Spring Florish

This week is a just for fun challenge

Spring.

So this week I've used a lovely flourish stencil called Elegance from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've used distress ink in nice spring green colours. I've edge the base card with the same green colours. Then just added a sentiment and a couple of green pearls.

It's time for a new challenge at the Crafty Catz.

As we have no sponsor this week it's a just for fun challenge.

But the theme is add a balloon.

For my inspiration I've added a balloon of a different sort. The balloons are a stencil from Sweet Poppy called Hot Air Balloons. 

I started with the background using an oval aperture stencil and a cloud template. 

I've then inked the 2 smaller balloons inside the oval. The large balloon I have then put stencil paste through and put black glitter over the top.

The sentiment is also from the Sweet Poppy stamp set Life is a Journey.

There are then just some clear gems in 2 corners.

Seahorse in the Weed

 It's new challenge day at the Critter Crazy challenge.

The theme is always Anything Goes as long as a critter is the focal point of the card.

This time I have made a card with one of my favourite animals the Seahorse.

For my inspiration this month I have used some Sweet Poppy stamp sets. The first one is the beautiful Seahorse set. I have coloured it with polychromo pencils. The background is done using the seaweed stamp set. For this I have coloured the stamp with watercolour brush pens, spritzed lightly with water and stamped. Then added some bubbles also in the Seahorse set and lightly coloured them.

I really like this little cow and have used it several times. I've coloured it with polychromo pencils. The background has been done with a Sweet Poppy Plaid stencil and distress inks. A layer if wood effect paper. Some card candy decorate the corners, then just a birthday sentiment to complete.
