Diamonds in the green

Today sees the start of a new challenge at

Our theme is

I have used the diamond stencil in two ways on this card. The background has been done in a fan type design using green ink. On the green card the stencil is kept straight using white ink, not to heavy, so only just visible. The floral stamp has been embossed in white. Small brads have been used more as a decorative idea in the corners. The just a die cut happy birthday sentiment.

Another month has gone and now we have new challenge from

The Critter Crazy Challenge.

Our theme is to use a critter

and make sure the critter is a focal point of your card.

This is a Clarity stamps make. The background brick wall stencil and the stags head stamp are from Clarity. I think the clock is a Tim Holtz Bigz die. A piece of twine decorate the card then a die cut sentiment complete. A wonderful masculine card I think.

New challenge day at

The Crafty Catz.

Our theme is always

Anything Goes.

I've started by taking my piece of white card and used score board embossed line, from top to bottom, but avoiding the centre diamond. Then embossed the diamond outline too. The inside of the diamond has been coloured through a Sweet Poppy stencil using distress inks. Then a die cut floral spray and sentiment finish the design off.

Owl Love

Summer is coming to an end and so has out break at

The Crafty Catz Challenge.

So today sees the start of our new challenge.

The theme as always is

Anything Goes.

All the products from this card, except the stencil and sentiment, are from Clarity Stamps. The Owls have been stamped in black and embossed. The leaves and acorns are stamped and cut out. An aperture has been die cut in the centre of a piece of white card and a frame stencil embossed around it. The owls have been die cut and slotted into the aperture and then layered up onto black card and put onto a white 8x8 card base. With the leaves and acorns arranged under the image and the birthday sentiment die cut added. I do love the simplicity of black and white.

I've been a bit quiet over the summer enjoying our lovely warm weather.

Well I think summer is over as it feels very autumnal already, a bit of a sudden change.

So here's to the new challenge starting today  at

The Critter Crazy Challenge.

This card was quite a quick make using stencils. The dog is a Sweet Poppy stencil and the background  is cogs and clock from Clarity Stamps. I've used Distress Inks through the stencils. Then a stamped sentiment which has been cut out with a punch. A perfect male card.

For this card I've used a Sweet Poppy stencil called Mechanical Horse. I've used paste through the stencil on black card and let it dry. To keep in with the mechanical look the decorative corners are made of metal. Then the birthday sentiment has been die cut out of silver card. A perfect card for a mans birthday.

Our theme is always

Anything Goes

A nice clean and simple card with the lovely summery yellow flowers and sentiment.

The background has been made simply scoring diagonal lines on white card using a score board. These lines are about  inch apart. The mesh has been die cut, as has the sentiment. The flowers are a stamp and die set which has then been coloured with pencils. A simple but cheerly little card.
