Summer Poppies

I'm the host this week for the Crafty Catz challenge.

This will be the last challenge so the DT can have a well earned break.

but we will be back September.

There is no sponsor this week so it's just for fun.

Our theme is as always Anything Goes

with the option of use Hot Colours.

For my card I've gone red hot.

I've used a poppy stamp from Sweet Poppy.

 I masked the images in order to create the topper. 

                                               Then coloured it with watercolour brush pens.

It's quite a simple design because the image is so lovely it doesn't need anything else just the sentiment.

Christmas Coo

It's time for Christmas in July for the new challenge at the Crafty Catz

and this is one of their images called Highland Christmas.

I've coloured this lovely Christmas Coo with alcohol pens. The top part of the background is a stencil and the bottom part is a stamp both from Sweet Poppy Stencils. With just a narrow ribbon on the join. I have used a textured paste to look lick fur on the hat brim and bobble.

For this weeks challenge at Crafty Catz there is no sponsor, How unusual is that.

The them is as always anything goes but with the option of make it sparkle or shine.

I've used one of my favourite images which is the Cheshire Cat from Dr Digi.

I've coloured him with Copic pens and, although it doesn't show up on the picture, he has sparkly teeth for an extra special smile. He is such an impressive character so I made him a CAS card. So I've just given him a colour co-ordinated border. Then a sentiment that suites him so much, which is from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I think everybody need to do it more often too.

love the Beach

Don't the weeks fly by it's already time for  new challenge at the Crafty Catz.

Our theme this week is Anything Goes

with the twist more than one fold.

I've made a Z-fold card. It's a simple, uses 2 pieces of card with one cut smaller than the other.

 

I've coloured the image using Copic pens. I've only used 1 sheet of 12x12 patterned paper as it was double sided so just reversed for the inside. It was just the right size as there was very little left, I stamped my sentiment onto the image topper. There is also space inside to add a greeting when I come to use the card. 

Don't we all love the beach though.

It's time for more animal antics for the new challenge at Critter Crazy.

The lovely Hare image is a stamp from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I've coloured it with Polychromo pencils. It's such a lovely clean image I kept the colours mostly in monotone shades with just the touch of yellow for the flowers. Then just a sentiment also from the same stamp set.

I decided on a CAS design for this one. I've coloured this little pup with Polychromo pencils. I've a paw print stamp down the one side. Then just added a die cut birthday sentiment.
