Well Travelled Owl

New month new challenge over at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. The image called Horned Owl has been supplied by the very talented team member Donna Ellis.

I've used him to make a mans card, they're a bit harder to come up with ideas for. I've coloured the image using Polychromo pencils and then cut him out.

I've used map patterned paper in the background. The happy Birthday sentiment is die cut. Then a bit of decorative stringy ribbon, not sure how else to discribe it, to finish.

Pop over to the challenge and see all the great card made using this image and maybe join in with a critter card of your own.

  3. Great coloring, Janet, and I love the masculine design! The map paper is a brilliant idea. The 'stringy ribbon' gives such great texture. Great idea using it.

  5. Janet, I love the background paper you used with this... very masculine! Why is it that those manly cards are the toughest to make?!? Donna's beautiful artwork lends itself well to masculine cards though and I know I'll be using it for a few of the guys in my life this year!
