Lantern Heart

It's time for a new challenge over at

The theme is
Any Thing Goes
( option use chipboard, stencils, diecut toppers)

This is my project for this months challenge. It is a chipboard lantern. I have textured the surface with texture paste, then given it a base coat of acrylic paint.

I have then used distress inks gathered twigs, vintage photo, frayed burlap, pine needles and wild honey, I have rummaged around my garden to find some twigs, moss and stems to make the base of the decorations.

I have then coloured silk ivy leaves with the same distress ink. then finished off the decoration with a little stone heart, a metal butterfly decorated with glitter and a battery candle for safety. I really enjoyed doing this, finding all the bits, and pleased with the result too.

Please pop over to the challenge to see some great inspiration from my fellow team mates.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges
