Autumn Leaves

There is a new challenge starting today at the Classic Design Challenge.

Our sponsor this month is Fred She Said

and this is one of their images called Fallen Maple Leaf.

Quite a seasonal image as there are lots of leaves falling from my trees now

I have had a change to colour this image and tried my new watercolour brush pens. For a first try. I'm quite pleased as I've not done water colouring for a long time as i just never had good results. I kept it quite simple and just added a sentiment.

I have coloured the image with polychromo pencils. The background is made using a stencil and pink and gray distress ink. I've stamped the sentiment and used a stamp edge punch to cut out the card. Floral Blue

Well this was scheduled for yesterday but it didn't happen so I'll try again.

The challenge over at Crafty Cats is back after it's summer break.

The sponsor and prize is

Di's Digi Stamps.

My inspiration is made using  a stencil from Sweet Poppy stencils.

It's called Peony.

I've made the background using a circle to make a clear centre, then Brushos round the outside of the card. The main flower has been inked using Distress inks. The stamped sentiment is also from Sweet Poppy.

Round the edge of the card base I have used another stencil in matchng colour just to decorate the edge.
