springtime

It's my turn to host the new challenge at

Our sponsor this time is

The optional theme this is chosen by me is
Spring Green

This pretty image from the Paper Shelter is called Sophie in the Country
I've coloured it with Polychromo pencils. It's a lovely image to reflect spring is here and hopefully summer is on it's way. To go with spring theme the background papers a green/blue glitter patterned paper and a green layer. The layer has a punched edge for decoration.

For the decorative part I've added a green and white dotted ribbon, gems down the punched edge. Finally a Birthday sentiment.

Rain Drops

A bit of a late post, I've had this seasonal chesty cough that's going around, the days just got all messed up.

So back to business and the new challenge at

We have no sponsor this week so it's just a theme of
Add a Sentiment.

I've gone back to Sweet Poppy Stencils for this one, I just find them so versatile.

This one is the Teardrop background. I used white paste through the stencil on black card then let it dry over night. To make the background I've then used the same stencil on the 2 corners using distress ink. Then I've used alcohol pens to colour over the dry paste. Nicely blended out to keep the colours light. To match in I picked 3 layers of card to tone with the pen colour and layered them up in a twisted format. The sentiment is also from sweet poppy to complete the card.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges

613 avenue - Any Occasion
Ellibelle's Corner - no designer paper
Mix it up - layers

Wooooo Hoo

Spring is nearly with us and so is the new challenge from

As the title says we love our critters,
so please make it the focal point of your card.

For my card this month I've used an image from a CD of Thelwell Images. I've coloured this one with polychromo pencils. Then stamped a sentiment next to the image. The background is a stencil from Sweet Poppy called Palm Leaves Backplate. Then the  main image has been off set just for a change. I've always loved this cute and comical little ponies. This one is really flying.
