Blue Gift

This week I'm hosting the penultimate challenge of 2024 at the Crafty Catz.

Our Sponsor this week is
and this is one her images called

I chose the theme for this challenge which is
Blue Christmas

I really like this cute Christmas image of Santa and his Pony. I've coloured it using polychromo pencils.
To fit in with the blue theme the background is 2 blue patterned papers, they are 2 pieces out of my left over box which were a perfect size and colour for this card. I have used a piece of ribbon which makes this look like a big parcel and added a bow too. The sentiment has been die cut.

Whistle the Thistle

There is a new challenge over at the Crafty Catz.

We have not sponsor this time so it's just for fun.

But the theme is use ribbon.

To  create the frame round the edge of this card I have used a Sweet Poppy stencils called Twisted Vine Square. I fitted it into the top right corner and inked it, then the bottom left and inked, so it doesn't have too be used as just a square. I masked it all off each time to make sure the ink didn't go in places I didn't want it. I used distress ink to make the frame. Then the Thistles is a stamp also from Sweet Poppy, stamped in a no line ink pad by stamps by me. I've then water coloured the image using Sweet Poppy Watercolour brush pens set 2. Then there is the ribbon and bow, plus a sentiment.

Distressed Moth

We have reached the penultimate month of 2024.

So we have a new challenge at Critter Crazy.

The theme is always Anything Goes
but please make sure a critter is the main image on your item.

The background of this card has been made using distress inks then spattered with water to add a more distressed  look. I have then made a separate piece of card using the same colours.

On this second piece of card I have used a Sweet Poppy Stencil called Indian Moth with Black archival ink through. This stencil comes with a matching die, so when the ink is all dry carefully position the die and cut out your moth. This stencil and die are in the sale at a really good price. The cut our moth is then positioned on your base and add just a little glossy accents to highlight it's body. Finally just add your sentiment.
