Cute but not Fluffy

Welcome to this weeks new
This weeks theme, which was chosen this week by the lovely Bridgit, and it is
Cute and Fluffy.

This weeks sponsor is Heather's Hobby Haven and the prize is a $15 voucher.

Now to my card this week. I think he is really cute but forgive me for stretching the theme a little so I could use him because he is not really fluffy. He is Magnolia's new dragon called Lilly. I have stamped him onto watercolour card and water coloured him with distress inks Worn Lipstick and Spruce Green. He has been cut out with a Spellbinders die and layered onto emerald green pearlescent card. The Background paper is Lilly's matching backing paper from Magnolia which is layered onto a pale pink card and both have been distressed with Distress Ink. I have coloured the heart with Barn Door and the coloured the white ribbon with the same ink to match, this stretches across the middle of the card and the tiny bow.

The swirls are a Joy die and the flowers are Magnolia flowers, so beautiful. The sentiment is stamped and punched out. Just soooooo cute.

Singing in the Rain

Welcome to this weeks new
This weeks theme picked by fellow DT buddie Andie is
Inspired by a Film Title

Our sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique with a prize of 3 digi images of your choice.

For my card this week I have done Tilda yet again. Although she is singing in the rain I decided I wanted quite a bright colour theme for a change. So I have gone for a brightly coloured background paper and then matched the layers in yellow, green and pink. I have used my new embossing folder of musical notes on the pink card, I thought that fitted in with the theme quite nicely.

Tilda has been coloured with Tria pens and layered onto green and then yellow card. These have been cut out with a Spellbinders die.

The swirl leaf is a Cheery Lynn die and then a few flowers that just seem to match the background really well. I hope you like it.

Big Cat

Welcome back to this weeks new challenge on
This weeks theme is set by the Boss the very talented Wendy and it is
A Man's Card.
Our sponsors this week are Digi Doodle Shop and the prize is a $10 voucher. Good Luck.

My card this weeks is a very simple CD creation. The image is taken from the Joanna Sheen CD, Jayne Netly-Mayhew first set of CD's. It is an 8x8 card with the animal print paper covering the whole of the card and a contrasting stripe card at the bottom. The Leopard image is layered onto black and then cream card and put on the top of the card.

There is a piece of matching velvet animal print ribbon covering the join between the 2 papers. The greeting has been cut using a Spellbinders die in cream pearlescent card and happy birthday stamped and embossed in gold.

The final touch, to give a bit of an extra African feel, is a mask. I have made this using red and gold coloured Friendly Plastic and a rubber mold. I enjoy doing this but you have to wathc your fingers, it get a bit hot, but I think is is worth it. I hope you think so too.
