Happy Anniversary

Hi everybody. My card today is for a Golden Wedding Anniversary. It is an order for a friend, Not my usual type of card, I love my stamping and colouring, but it's what the customer wants and they do look quite good. I have kept the background colours in cream and gold for obvious reasons, but then added a little colour to it with the decoupage. The book has been cut using large set of dies from Go Kreate. I have edged them with borders to make the edges look neater. The hearts are also die cut, the big one is a Spellbinder and the lattice ones are Cheery Lynn. The corners are Cheery Lynn too. The Decoupage is a Moorheads one from Crafter's Companion. Some flowers from Hobby House and a ribbon and bow finish the book design.

I have placed this on and easel card, I think this shows the book design off nicely.

Little Witch

Hello Thanks for coming and having a look at my latest creation. I have used an easel card design and the edge of the background has been distressed with Tim Holtz Dried Marigold and Black Soot.

This is an image from Just Inklined and I think she is really cute, and being as Halloween is just around the corner I thought I would use her for this card. I have coloured her with Tria Pens. Then the image has been layered on to a spiders web patterned paper from Basic Grey Eerie paper pad and orange card.
The tree and the letters are a Sizzix die. The orange moon is vellum embossed with a web and some pumpkin buttons in the corner.

The inside is covered in a patterned paper from Diane's Daughters . The bat stamp is from Chocolate Baroque. There are also two silver fancy leaf brads on the easel stop inside the card

Distressed Christmas

Hello again and welcome to this weeks
Unfortunately this will be the last challenge from The Secret Crafter, it will be sad to see it go but things are changing and it is time to bring it to an end.

The theme this week is
 Distressing

Our final sponsor is Heather's Hobbie Haven with a $15 voucher

For my card this week I have done Christmas, I thought it was about time to start. I have used a deckle edge card for the base and this has been covered with a patterned paper leaving a tiny border. I have then put a rectangle of a matching patterned paper layered on red deckle edge card on the top, this was cut with a spellbinder die. A merry Christmas greeting has been stamped on the top left. All these layers have been lightly distressed.

I have stamped the image and coloured it with Promarkers and glitter has been put on the coat and hat edges. This has also been layered on to red card. A piece of green ribbon is across this center of the card. To the left of the image I have put a single silk flower with punched leaves and just a few gems to add a bit of sparkle to it.

Daisy

Hi it's time for this weeks

And this weeks theme chosen by the lovely Kate is
Animal Antics

Our sponsor this week is Crafter's Companion

With a prize of a £10 voucher

For my card this week I have chosen a lovely bright summer colour, not that we have had much sun this year, I thought it would be cheerful. The image of Daisy the cow, that's my name for her cause all cows are called Daisy aren't they? has been simply coloured with part Tria's and part other pens ( including a little glitter). She has been cut out with a die, all the layers are a Yellow distress card.

There are two white layers that have been embossed using different embossing folders, bubbles and daisy's, and a last layer of a nice yellow patterned paper covering a 6x6 card.

I have added a orange ribbon and bow to the bottom of the card. The 2 orange corner's are a Cheery Lynn Die and the Daisies are from Hot of the Press. A stamped sentiment completes this card.

Now on to my card this week. It's the been hard to do any recently hopefully I should be able to do more now. I have used an 8inch scalloped edge card as a card base. The next layer is 4 squares measuring 3.75 inches that have been embossed with 2 different Sizzix embossing folders and put on in opposite corners. Next layer is a doily which is off set to the top left.

The image is a Lili of the Valley and has been water coloured with distress inks and then cut out with a Spellbinders Die. This has been layered onto another piece of white card embossed with Swiss Dots. There is a large white sheer satin ribbon on the top left. The flowers are a mix of white flowers from Hobby House and some punched flowers with a little glitter in the center. The leaves have also been punched out. Sorry

I have just popped on to say I'm sorry I haven't been on much recently. I have had an operation on my foot and I was not supposed to stand for long periods. The problem is I never sit down when I'm crafting, my work area is set at standing height, and it is not easy to make cards sitting with my foot up resting it and work of my lap. But it is nearly better now and hopefully I will be back with lots of cards in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for being patient.

Fairy Nuff

First I would like to say sorry I haven't been  blogging as much in recent weeks but I have had an operation on my foot and the tablets I was taking have been making me a bit ill. But I'm on the mend now and will do better to keep up.

This card I have enjoyed doing as it is the first chance I have had to colour for a while. She is so cute, an image from The Paper Shelter. I have coloured her with Tria Pens and cut her out with a Spellbinders die. The backing papers are from Bo Bunny and the flowers are from The Hobby House.

Other bits I have used are Martha Stewart border punches, the glass accent and pearl are Tim Holtz and the sentiment is a Lili of the Valley. The pink backing card has been embossed with a folder but for the life of me I can't remember the brand.

Pastel Pretty

Hello again and welcome to this weeks
This weeks theme is
Using Pastel Colours
Our sponsor this weeks is Crafter's Companion with a £10 voucher

My card this week is a round easel card. The shape has been cut using a Spellbinders large scalloped die. The embossed lines have been made by using the die in different sizes put on the back of the card and held in place with low tack tape. The is is put through the Grand Calibur but instead of using the cutting plates use the rubber mat, the base plate and the embossing plate, then it puts the embossed lines in instead of cutting. It has then been distressed using Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge. There is a patterned paper covering the inside of the card and a butterfly has been die cut to make the stop.

I have then used a Wee Stamps topper image layered onto pink card cut with the scalloped die. Plus some lovely pastel flowers with 2 die cut leaves using a Marianne Die. The topper and flowers are from Hobby House. So pretty.

I would like to enter this card in the following Challenge;
The Paper Shelter - Flower Power
Whimsy Stamps - Anything Goes
Jackson's Digital Expressions - A Rose by any other name

Christmas in June

Hi here at
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge
It's Christmas in June.

This weeks prize is from The Secret Crafter herself Wendy. So join in this week and you could win yourself a lovely bag of crafting goodies.

For my card this week I have used a metal stencil from Dreamweaver. The background is just done using ink through the stencil, placed randomly, leaving the bottom corner free for the main image.

The main image uses the same stencil and double sided adhesive sheet. You need to put soap on the back of the stencil so that it doesn't stick to the sticky sheet permenantly. Then glitter is added to the sheet just pale green to the leaves and red to the berries. This may sound odd as the leaves are two shades but the other bit come later. Remove the stencil and put white or irridescent glitter over the rest. Then place the stencil back over the image and colour the edges of the leaves with dark green permenent pens. Then it is just layered onto pearlescent green card to finish.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
The Joyful Stamper - Anything Goes
Crimbo Crackers - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Holly Jolly Christmas - Bingo(glitter, blue)

To add a little dimension I have put lace across the opposite corners and a couple of large yellow flowers with a little glitter in the centres. I love the colours in this, quite summery.

Tag It

Hello and welcome to this weeks
And this weeks theme set by yours truely is a nice, simple
Anything Goes

Our Sponsors this week are Crafter's Companion with a £10 voucher

and Digi Darla Designs with 5 digi's of your choice.

Good Luck

I've done tags for my entry. Having seen some done recently and I have not dabbled with any for I while I thought it was a good time to start playing again.

This one has been coloured using distress inks. The leaf image is stamped and then has a little glitter on it. The sentiment is stamped in distress ink. and the leaves and flowers are punched and a little glitter in the flower centres.
This one is also coloured with distress inks and then over stamped with the image which has been embossed with clear powder. Before you do this make sure your distress ink is completely dry or the powder will stick to it too, although this can be done for a different effect. Then the butterflies are punched out of patterned paper and a little glitter added.
This one is a bit different that the tag has been covered with a patterned paper and then distressed around the edge. The sentiment is stamped onto it with versafine. The flowers have been die cut, then some extra cust into the petals. They are coloured using well watered distress ink on a mucky mat so they are quite wet and then screwed up to add a bit more texture. This makes them quite hard when they are dry so they hold the shape better too. The butterfly has been stamped onto the tag, then a second one onto spare card, which is coloured and cut out and then put on to add extra dimension.

I would like to enter these in the following challenges;

canvas art

Welcome to the weeks
and this weeks theme chosen my my buddie Jane is
Anything but a card.

Our sponsors this week are Heathers Hobbie Haven and the prize to the winner is $15 voucher.

For my piece this week I have done a bit of canvas work. It's roughly a A4 size canvas. I have applied them using duster brushed and torn paper as a stencil for the hills.

The stamps are the large branch, small trees and grasses are from Stamps Scapes, and the large tree is an Elusive Iamges stamp. I have added a sentiment from Darkroom Door. I have stamped them using Brown Stazon.

I have finished it off with some stamped leaves and cut them out to add a little texure.

In the Garden

Welcome to this weeks challenge at
This weeks theme chosen by fellow teamy and very talented Helen is
In The Garden

This weeks sponsor is The Stamping Boutique
and the prize is 5 Digi's of your choice.

I've done two simple cards for the challenge this week.
I've been playing with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks.

I've made the backgrounds by swirling the inks and blending solution on to the coated card stock. Then I have just stamped an image using Stazon black ink into the bac ground. The same image has been stamped onto the corner of the base card in Distress ink Pumice stone and the sentiment has been done in the same colour. Then it's all layered up onto a complimentary cardstock.

This has been done the same way as the previous card except that instead of stamping on the base card I have added a punched border using a Marcha Stewart border punch. Because this stamped image is more of a reverse image, (the ink sticks to the background and the flowers are clear) the background looks black and the alcohol ink colours the flowers. Same technique but two differnt looks.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
