Vintage but not Shabby

Welcome to this weeks challenge from
This weeks theme picked by the very talented Tamara is
Vintage or Shabby Chic.
This weeks sponsor is Heather's Hobby Haven with a prize of a $15 voucher

My card this week is Tilda again. Stamped and coloured with Tria Pens. She has just been cut out and then distressed around the edge with Victorian Velvet distress ink. I have used a square card layered with pink distress co-ordinations and a nice vintage looking patterned paper whick has also been distressed with victorian velvet and tea dye.

Tilda has been layered onto 2 die cut shapes. The pink Layer is a spellbinders die, called Lattice Motifs, and the cream one is a Marianne die. I have put a border of brown distress co-ordinations along the bottom edged using a Marther Stewart border punch with a peice of pale pink ribbon on the top and a bow to one side.

The leaves ahve been punched out of brown card. The flowers are a bit of old stash I had been hanging on to for the right card and I think they look perfect on this one. They are a vintage metal flower then a pearl topped brad has been put through the center. I was pleased with the outcome of this card.

I would like to enter it in the following challenges:

It's Saturday again so it must be time for a new
This weeks theme is choosen by the lovely Sonia and it is
doilies are not just for cakes.
Our sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique and the prize is 3 Digi's of your choice FAB.

For my card this week I have done a Tilda image again. I have gone for a different colour theme this week though, not a colour I work with a lot. I have used a shaped card for the base, which has been distressed around the edge with Tim Holtz Spun Suger and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks, layered with a purple card and a varigated colour layer. I have coloured Tilda with Tria Pens then she has been cut out using a Marianne Die.

I have added the heart shaped doily partly behind my image and placed a nice pink organza bow and a bit of pink feather on top (hard to see on the photo). The is also a piece of organza ribbon across the card with a piece of lace ribbon on top which has had some colour added to it using Tim Holtz distress inks.

I have added some beautiful Prima Flowers in purples and lilacs. Then punched out some leaves from the same purple card as on the base layer. 3 large pearls finish this card off.

Dream Valley Challenge - Mother's Day
Paper Sundaes - Feminine Flair

Vintage Text

Welcome to this weeks new challenge from
which this weeks theme is set by fellow team mate Linda and is
Just Text No Image.
Our sponsor this week is Digi Doodle Shop with a $10 voucher as the prize.

My card this week has a lot of text on it. I have made a 8x8 easel card, the front is covered in a text paper which has been distressed around the edge using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. There are then different layers on top of that which include a cream pearlescent card which has been embossed using a Sizzix text embossing folder, a doily distressed with vintage photo, a piece of vintage looking lace and a round Happy Birthday stamp in the center.

The floral decoration is made up of 2 swirl leaves cut from dark brown card using a Cheery Lynn Die. To which I have added some lovely red and cream roses. Then a big bow of Champange Organza ribbon and a red center.

The inside is made up of two corners cut in pearlescent card using a Marianne Die, 2 gold glitter swirls bits and a rub-on sentiment from Kaiser Craft. The inside is also covered in a text background paper and lightly distressed. I hope you like it.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

One for the Men

Welcome to the weekend again and this weeks new
This weeks theme choosen by Kate is
Go for Green ( it's nearly St Paddies Day).
Our sponsor this week is
Crafters Companion and the prize is a £10 voucher.

My card this week is more for the man in your life. The base card is a 8x8 covered with a patterned paper. The bottle and glass has been cut out of gold mirror card on the Cricut placed onto dark green card and cut out. This has then been placed on the front edge of the base card and the edge has been cut to the shape of the image to give a shaped front.

The leaves have been cut from a dotty patterned green paper using a punch and the grapes have been made using  Craftwork Cards Candy. The main greeting has been made using scalloped circle punches in gold mirror, dark green and green patterned papers with the words printed out. With brown and green ribbons hanging from the bottom it looks like a rosette.

The letter spelling VINTAGE have been printed out and layered onto gold mirror card using deckle edge square punches. A simple one this week.
